About Zachary Typhair

Zachary Typhair is running to build a more affordable, accessible, and accountable Kingston. A Pittsburgh District resident, he is focused on better communication, smarter growth, and real results for the community.
 
If elected, Zachary will serve as a full-time councillor, fully accountable to the residents of Pittsburgh and the greater Kingston area. His priorities are simple: be easy to reach, invest in East end infrastructure before expanding the urban boundary, and keep taxes under control through responsible spending.

His day-to-day work gives him a clear understanding of how rising costs, housing pressures, and climate-related risks impact people across the Pittsburgh District and greater Kingston.
 
This frontline experience shapes Zachary’s approach to community advocacy: thoughtful, balanced, and rooted in real life. He focuses not on partisanship, but on practical, evidence-based solutions that strengthen Kingston, making it more affordable, more resilient, and more inclusive for everyone who calls it home.
