Almost two years ago I gave a speech outside of city hall at a climate rally. Back then, I hated public speaking; I have always found it fascinating that public speaking is most people’s biggest fear. I believed in action and making life better for people, so I overcame that fear. Actions have always spoken louder than words ever could; if we want to make this world a better place, we must all face our fears and stand up for what we believe in. Together we can end the climate crisis, affordability crisis and any other Diverse list of plagues that we will face.

“So many of us are here today to recognize that the threat from climate change is serious, urgent, and it is growing. Our generation’s response to this challenge will be judged by history if we fail to tackle this problem with haste. We must proceed boldly and hand-in-hand if we are to see any form of success. We risk our own future, lest we deny the next generations’ theirs.” I stand by this statement, we can not deny the next generations their future, it is up to us to make this world cleaner, healthier and better.
